With wife Emily Clara Buck:
George was born in Montrose, Wisconsin, a town located about 10 miles southwest of Madison. His parents had just moved to Wisconsin from Maine, and he was the first of their nine children born in Wisconsin. The family moved north to Belmont, Portage County, Wisconsin within a couple of years of his birth, and he stayed there until he was 24. His father, Warren, died when George was 16. In 1880, George and his family moved to Scotia, Nebraska. George took up a homestead there to farm, and presumably the family moved there because of the homestead opportunities for himself and his older brother Albert O. Lincoln (32 at the time). The 1880 US Census lists the entire remaining family living in Scotia, Nebraska that year (George's two sisters, Rebecca and Annette, both married men in Wisconsin before 1880). George's mother, Izetta, returned to Wisconsin to marry Peter Turner, but George and his brothers remained in Nebraska for a while.
George married Emily Buck, who also was from Belmont, Portage County, Wisconsin, when he was 25 and she was 22. The date of birth of one child, Grace, is unknown, but the obituary states she died at age 12, and the 1990 US Census does not list her, and her mother, Emily, also died in 1900. So, she was born before 1882, and after their marriage, so around 1882 - 1888.
George moved his family to California, settling in the Ventura county area in 1889, and stayed there until 1900, when his wife died. Within a year, he moved back to Wisconsin with his son and daughter, William and Ola. He remained there living around Belmont and Almond until 1926. He then moved back to California to the Ventura area with his daughter, Ola, and remained there until his death at the age of 77.
George's wife, Emily Clara Buck, was born Dec-1858 (from the 1990 US Census) and died of unknown causes on 21-Jun-1900, at the age of 41.
The Lincoln-Stephenson Ancestry Dates shown on the right are from the notes of this George Lincoln, and state his full name and birthdate, and is consistent with the obituary.
