Not much is known about John Leslie Lincoln. The accompanying obituary states John held several jobs throughout his life, and had three sons. John was a few weeks shy of his 92nd birthday when he passed away. Jeffersonville, Kentucky, the place of his death, is about 25 miles east of Lexington. John and his second wife, Esther Gladys Pennell Lincoln, are both buried in the Espyville Cemetery, located west of Meadville, Pennsylvania, on the border with Ohio.
Limestone, New York, the place where John was born, is close to the border with Pennsylvania, south of Buffalo, and just northeast of Duke Center, Pennsylvania, the place of his father's birth.
The obituary of John's son, Richard, shows that Richard and John were sons of Clara Hedgelin, and Gordon was the son of Esther Pennell. The birth and death dates of John's first wife, Clara Hedgelin, is unknown. John's second wife, Esther Gladys Pennell, was born 19-Mar-1911 and died 30-Jan-1991.
