Notes

All the cesus records show Benjamin Thompson Lincoln was born in Maine and his wife was born in New Brunswick, Canada.

The following quote is from "History of Aroostook", by Edward Wiggin, p. 27,

Mr. Benjamin T. Lincoln also came from Oromocto, N. B., in 1837, and took one of the lots upon which his brother, John P. Lincoln, had settled two years before. Each of the brothers afterward bought an additional hundred acres nearby. Mr. Beni. T. Lincoln was for many years a member of the board of selectmen, and was a man of kindly and companionable disposition, and had many strong friends. He died in 1888. Mr. John Lincoln, father of John P. and Benjamin T., came to Hodgdon in 1840, and took the next lot south of the one occupied by the sons.

The US Federal Census from 1850, 1860, 1870, and 1880 provide additional documentation on the family of Benjamin Thompson Lincoln.  Benjamin and his brother, John P. Lincoln, stayed in Maine and farmed there, while his brothers and sister (Warren, Theodore, and Martha) left Maine around 1853 and moved to Wisconsin.  Benjamin married his wife at the age of 27 (she was around 19).  Benjamin died at the age of 74 at Hodgdon, Maine.

Benjamin's wife, Hannah Bashabi Scott, was born in New Brunswick around 1823, according to the US Census records.  It is unknown when she died.  Both Benjamin and his wife are buried together at East Hodgdon Cemetery (located on White Settlement Road) in Hodgdon, Maine.  Exact dates of birth, death, and marriage are from Larry Combs.
