Lola Lincoln married Bernard Laudenklos when she was 22 (he was 24), in Harrisburg, Nebraska, a town about 30 miles southwest of Bayard. They met in Bayard, Nebraska as Bernard was working for the Civilian Conservation Corps and a camp was established in Bayard. They moved to North Bend, Nebraska, a town about 30 miles north of Lincoln, Nebraska, and the site of Bernard's home. After Bernard was drafted into the military service for World War II, Lola worked in Denver, Colorado at Lowry Air Force base and at the Remington Arms plant. After the war, they returned to North Bend where they raised a family and spent the rest of their lives. Lola died in a nursing home in Elkhorn, Nebraska, a town on the western edge of Omaha, and she was buried in North Bend.
Bernard Laudenklos was born 12-Apr-1916 in Octavia, Nebraska, located about 25 miles southwest of North Bend. He died 27-Nov-1978 in Omaha, Nebraska, and was buried in North Bend.
