Birth: | 01-May-1891, Scotia, Nebraska
Death: | 23-Aug-1963, Los Angeles, California
Marriage: | 1916 to Esther Gardner
With wife Esther Gardner:
Very little is known about Rollen Lincoln. After his birth in Nebraska, his family moved back to Wisconsin near where his grandparents lived (Almond, Wisconsin). He eventually moved back to Nebraska and did several jobs there. His WWI draft card states his occupation as a manager at a light and water plant. The 1920 US Census lists his job as a plumber. The 1930 US Census lists his job as a mechanic. Rollen married Esther Gardner when he was 24 and she was 19 (according to the 1930 US Census). The 1920 US Census shows them living in Scotia, Nebraska with Esther's mother, and so we know Esther's maiden name from this. They apparently had no children as none are listed on any census form, although it is still possible they had children after 1930 as Esther was 33 that year.
Rollen and Esther made their way to California as they both died in Los Angeles. Rollen died at the age of 72. Esther, who was born on 17-Feb-1897 in Nebraska, died on 03-Jun-1974 at the age of 77.
