Very little is known of Earl Herbert Lincoln. His middle name is confirmed by Arlis Lincoln, wife of his son Earl. His father moved back and forth between Wisconsin and Nebraska a few times, and it is Scotia, Nebraska where Earl seems to have settled. According to Darrel Vance of the Nebraska Cemetery Board, he is buried in Scotia and his headstone only gives 1980 as his death date. The Social Security Death Index lists his death as Apr-1980. The 1930 Census lists his occupation as a garage mechanic. The 1930 Census also states that he married Lois Springer in 1928 when he was 24 and she was 17. Earl died when he was 76.

Darrel Vance knew the son of Earl and Lois, and knew the maiden name (Springer) of Lois. He stated that Earl and Lois divorced. A public tree on Ancestry.com states she remarried a person named Clyde Brown. That public tree lists her birthdate as 24-Jan-1911 in Nebraska, and death date of 24-Aug-1977 in Scotia, Nebraska. The 1920 US Census shows Lois Springer having a twin brother (Louis Harlan Springer).

Earl remarried to Ellen Irene Lincoln on 21-May-1951 when he was 47 and she was 31. Both Earl and Ellen Irene Lincoln are buried in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Scotia, Nebraska. Ellen Irene Lincoln was born on 06-Jan-1920 and died on 29-May-2007 at the age of 87.
