With husband Stephen Smith:
From the notes of Allan Lincoln, son of Robert Thompson Lincoln (Martha's nephew via her brother Warren Lincoln - see Allan Lincoln), three families emmigrated from Maine to Wisconsin - the Lincoln family, the Smith family, and the Sutherland family. Martha married Stephen Smith when she was 19 (he was a few weeks shy of 22), and the family moved from Maine to Wisconsin when she was about 31, having already given birth to six children. Martha gave birth to a total of 12 children, listed above (birthdates for several of the children come from public trees in Ancestry.com). She died at age 85, buried in the First Belmont Cemetery with her husband and son, Thomas.
Martha's husband, Stephen Smith, was born 25-Dec-1818 and died 07-Aug-1868, at the age of 49, just three years after their last child was born.
